Consuelo Bernabe

Consuelo Bernabé, lovingly known as Connie, passed away on August 18, 2025, in Waco, Texas, at the age of 39. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Chilton Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, Texas.

She was born on December 22, 1985, in Lindsay, California, Connie was a bright and warm presence to all who knew her. She graduated from high school in 2003 and built a life centered around love, family, and faith. A hardworking and devoted mother, Connie’s greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She was passionate about cooking for her family, shopping, beach days, and spending time with her close friends. Her cheerful spirit was contagious—she never met a stranger and was always quick to lend a helping hand to those in need. Connie was raised Catholic and remained strong in her faith throughout her life.

Survivors include her children: Hermelinda Elena Romero, David Romero Jr., Janessa Jade Romero, JoseLuis Angel Romero, Maria Nancy Romero, Adrian Romero, and Salomon Romero; and her cherished grandchildren: Giovanni Amir Romero, David Alejandro Romero III, and Eziah Romero Hernandez. She is also survived by her mother, Hermelinda Castañon; her father, Avcilio Bernabé; her siblings, Esther and Victor; and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly. Connie was previously married to David Romero, the father of her children.

Pallbearers include David Romero, JoseLuis Romero, Juan Hernandez, Sonny Andrade, Sammy Andrade and Adrian Romero.

She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her unconditional love for her family, and her kind and giving heart. She will be deeply missed by all of us—her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.
