

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin with Dr. Buddy Sipe officiating. Burial will be in the Cego Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Corine was born November22, 1916, in Cego to William H. Niesen and Ella Bloch Niesen. She married Otto (Shay) Miller on January 29, 1938. The couple resided in the Cego community until her husband’s death in 1986 and she continued to live there until recently. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ of Cego until its closing in 2005. As long as her health permitted, Corine was an avid vegetable gardener and loved to work in her yard and kept it in tip-top shape. She was an excellent cook and her grandchildren knew they could count on her for gingersnap cookies, coffee cake and doughnuts.
In addition to her husband, Corine was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers and a great-granddaughter. She is survived by son Wilbur Miller and wife Martha of Houston; daughter Helen Miller of Waco; brother Norman Niesen of Fort Worth; sister-in-law Fay Niesen of Cego; two grandsons, Doug Miller and wife Malinda of Porter and Lee Miller and wife Milissa of League City; one granddaughter, Lisa Diaz and husband Bob of Fulshear; two great-grandsons, Cameron and Corey Diaz of Fulshear; one great-granddaughter, Lexee Miller of League City; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Doug and Lee Miller, nephew Terry Braun, nephew Bob Althaus, nephew Robert Niesen and family friend Billy Arndt.
The family has suggested memorials be given to St. Paul’s Cego Cemetery Association, 258 State Highway Business 7, Chilton, TX 76632; the Alzheimer’s Association, 6605 Sanger Ave., Waco, TX 76710; or charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank the folks from Gentiva Hospice as well as other caregivers for their special care of Corine.
