DeAnna Zander

DeAnna Zander, 80, of Riesel, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Waco. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Perry United Methodist Church in Riesel with the Reverend Ron Oden officiating. Interment will follow in Perry United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15th at Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Zander was born on January 27, 1941 in Elizabeth, Louisiana to Aubrey D. and Margaret (Sehweitzer) Davis. She married Roy Zander on March 14, 1958 in Cameron, Texas and they celebrated over 63 wonderful years together. Mrs. Zander loved to knit, crochet, bake, was an avid reader but her true love was her family; she was all about family and animals. She even claimed that she taught her husband how to fish. Mrs. Zander was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in law; Harry and Lorene Zander, son; Roy Gene Zander, Jr. and grandson; Roy Gene Zander, III.

Survivors include her husband; Roy Zander, Sr., daughters; Audrey Zander Mudge and her husband, Dickey and Lisa Zander Becnel and her husband, David, grandchildren; Amy Zander and fiancé, Wesley Matlock, Aubrey Zander, Ariel Blanco and husband, Aaron, Margaret Mudge, Dylan Becnel and wife, Christiana and Austin Becnel and wife, Morgan, great grandchildren; Aubrey E. Zander, Bailey Zander, Annarose Wilson, Adalynn Gibliant, Isabella Becnel and Ramsey Becnel, brothers; John D. Davis and his wife, Pauline and Lee Baxter Davis and his wife, Waynette, sister-in-law; Darlene Reich and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
