It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of DeVitte Simpson, age 52, who left this world far too soon.
DeVitte was the father of Andrew DeVitte Simpson, and Thomas Bennie DeVitte Simpson. He was also a loving stepfather to June Ashley Dodd and Anabelle Ashley Nunez, and a devoted partner to Sara-Ashley Sather, the mother of his youngest son.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Aaron Mason Simpson, whose memory he carried in his heart every day, as well as by the grandparents who lovingly raised him, Amber and Don Simpson.
DeVitte was a true fan of the Texas Longhorns, and his love for the team was well known. His energy and enthusiasm made any game feel like a celebration. His passion for his family and the Longhorns will forever be a part of his legacy.
A celebration of DeVitte’s life will take place Saturday, October 4th at 3:00 pm, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas, where family and loved ones will gather to honor his memory.
DeVitte leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and will carry his memory with them always.
