Donald Raymond Lane

Donald Raymond Lane, 96, passed away in his home in Riesel, Texas on April 2, 2005.

Donald was born August 21, 1928 in Marion, Iowa to Bessie Geneva Way and Earl Ebben Lane. He married the love of his life, Nola Elizabeth Jeske on April 8, 1951 in Marlin, Texas. Donald served in the US Air Force for 20 years before retiring. Then he went at work for the US Postal Service for 20 years before retiring from there. He lived in numerous places during his time in the Air Force. His hobbies included wood working, paint by number and jigsaw puzzles.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a grandson and 3 brothers.

Donald is survived 4 daughters, Donna Fitch, Linda Jeske, Nancy Edmondson, and Ronda Lane, 9 grandchildren, Angela Harp, Crystal Pursche, JD Pursche, Kerri Johnston, Charlie Johnston, Amy Malone, Tyler Edmondson, Jessica Havranek and Bobby Havranek. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held following his wishes on April 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. which would be their 74th wedding anniversary.

Pallbearers are Tyler Edmondson, Charlie Johnston, Chase Richardson, Donny Lane, James Lane and Kirk MacLean.
