Dorothy deeply loved the Lord and was a member of First Assembly of God in Marlin for most of her life.
She often shared fond memories of working in the ice cream parlor when she was young and volunteering at the hospital, but her greatest joy was time spent in the home taking care of her family.
She loved to shop and especially loved to find a good deal. She loved to listen to Jimmy Swaggart sing, loved to crochet, and could play a mean melody on the harmonica by ear.
Dorothy never met a stranger and always took time to stop and speak to people. She would say, “You never know when a kind word might give someone a lift or brighten their day.”
She spent her last days surrounded by family. She took weekly trips to the thrift store, was in church on Sunday mornings and even danced when the Spirit moved her. She was able to attend her great granddaughter’s wedding and danced at the reception. She loved driving through the mountains and drinking a good milkshake.
Her last adventure was a trip to Dollywood Theme Park the day after Christmas. She loved all the sights, the music, and closing out the day watching a display of fireworks.
Two and half weeks later, Dorothy suffered a stroke and was just four days shy of her 94th birthday when she went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
She took great pride in her family and her last request was to make sure that everyone knew how much she loved them and that her babies meant the world to her.
Dorothy was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Eunice and Jessie Lee Rowell. Siblings: Helen Rowell Lauderdale, Dessie Georgia Rowell Watson, John David Rowell, and Jack Ronnie Rowell.
And by her two sons, Edward Dwain Frazier and Jessie Doyle Frazier.
She is survived by her sister Opal Mae Rowell Cooper (Johnny), her children Glenn Douglas Frazier (Rose Mary), Debra Gail Frazier Gonnion, and grandchildren Heather Lee Jewitt (Jon), Crystal Gay Gibson (Ben), David Michael Davis Frazier (Avina), Jessica Faith Burns (David), and Nathan Lee Frazier (Tosha)…and by 19 great and 6 great- great grandchildren comprising of 5 generations.
