Doyle Hodges, 65 of Marlin entered into rest Wednesday February 15, 2012. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday February 17, 2012 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Phillips officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Doyle was born September 12, 1946 in Cleburne, Texas to Doyle Veston and Jeanette Eddy Hodges.
He loved serving his families at Adams Funeral Home where he has been location manager since 1999. Doyle lived to fish. I can’t tell you how many hours we would sit there and not catch anything. His last fishing adventure was with Chanse and Chase last year. Doyle said, they only caught a couple of sun perch but they solved all the world’s problems. Doyle was a very compassionate, kind, and loving person. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, and his granddaughter Savanna LeAnn Hodges in 1989.
Survivors include his wife Sandy of Marlin; son, Bo Hodges and wife Hollie of Marble Falls; daughter, Charnell Hodges of Marble Falls; sister, Charlotte Raborn and husband Joe of Waco; stepson, Danny Singleton of Granbury; grandchildren, Chanse Singleton of Granbury; Chase Singleton of Granbury; Forrest Marino of Marble Falls; and Hunter Marino of Marble Falls.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Falls Animal Rescue Mission (FARM), 423 W. Anders, Marlin, TX 76661 and Samaritian House, 154 Live Oak, Marlin, TX 76661.
Arrangements under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Marlin, TX.
