Eugenia Brooks

Eugenia Brooks, 84, of North Richland Hills, Texas, formerly of Waco, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her residence. Memorial graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas with the Reverend Buford Finley officiating.

Mrs. Brooks was born on April 3, 1931 in Marlin, Texas to Buford Wayne and Lois (McKinney) Finley. She married Wayland Brooks on September 4, 1953 in Marlin and they celebrated over 28 wonderful years together until his death on November 11, 1981. Mrs. Brooks loved to read, travel and being with her family; especially her grandchildren. She was a quiet, gentle person and lived in Waco for 50 years. Mrs. Brooks retired from the VA Hospital in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son and a brother; Charles David Finley.

Survivors include her son; Jeff Brooks and his wife, Vickie of Fort Worth, Texas, brother; Buford Finley and his wife, Mary Ann of Dallas, grandchildren; Michael and Emma Brooks of Fort Worth, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
