Irene Neumann

Irene W. Neumann, 93, of Waco, formerly of Otto, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 in Waco. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church in Marlin with the Reverend Kurt Rutz officiating, the family will receive friend and family from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Neumann was born on December 26, 1929 in Riesel, Texas to Eddie and Elsie (Jahnke) Wellbrook. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riesel; confirmed April 2, 1944; her conformation verse was John 14:6. She married L.D. Neumann on December 15, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riesel and they celebrated over 66 wonderful years together until his death on March 4, 2016.

Mrs. Neumann worked for Marlin Manufacturing until her retirement then she worked for Trinity Lutheran daycare for several years. She loved working in the yard and playing dominos on the weekend but her true love was her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister; Evelyn Steinke.

Survivors include her sons; Gary Neumann and his wife, Deborah and Kirby Neumann and his wife, Janay, grandchildren; Krystal Watson and her husband, Jason, Erica Archer and her husband, Eric, Jacob Neumann and his wife, Catherine, Kayla Neumann, Kaycie Baker and Kellie Thiele and her husband, Derek and great grandchildren; Zachery and Laney Archer, Clayton Thiele and great-grandson; Gary James Neumann.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice (formerly Kindred Hospice) and Royal Manor for the love and care that they gave Mrs. Neumann.
