James Howard Blann

A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, Texas with the Reverends Ron Odon and Ruby Waymar officiating. Interment will follow in Perry Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 31st at the funeral home.

He attended Mart schools, was involved in football, 4-H for several years and received several awards for grand champion animals and projects. He attended TSTC and received several degrees in Culinary Arts and Food Services. James worked at Kmart, Winn Dixie, Tusa and several services in Waco, Texas. He was a member of Riesel Lions Club and Perry Methodist Church all of his life. James loved gardening and growing all kinds of plants.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents; Howard Blann and Jack Shelburne, and uncle Roy Hodge.

Survivors include his mother, brother; Ricky grandmother; Alice Shelburne, aunt; Betty Hodge (Alfred Lehmann), nieces: Lisa and Stacy, great niece; Gracie and several other relatives and dear friends.
