James "Pete" Peters

The family hopes you will join them in celebrating his life with a memorial service to be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel.

Pete was born March 6, 1937 to Jimmie and James Leonard “Bud” Peters in Marlin, Texas. He graduated from Hearne High School in 1955 and later joined the Iron Workers Union. He spent many years working hard and even helped build the Alaskan Pipe Line. Pete lived life to the fullest enjoying fishing with family and watching football especially the Aggies. At the age of 65, Pete went back to school and received three associates degree’s for Environmental Safety. Anyone who knew him would say he had a heart as big as Texas. He will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Lynn Peters; daughter, Vonnie Paulus and wife Chubby Peters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, James Douglas Peters and wife Vivian, grandson James Caelan Peters, granddaughter, Victoria Boles, brother, Tom Peters and wife Mary Ann and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
