Joan Scott Michalewicz Watkins

Joan Scott Watkins, 86, of Chilton, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Rosemound Cemetery in Waco. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3rd at Adams funeral Home in Marlin.

Mrs. Watkins was born on February 21, 1928 in Lott, Texas to August and Emma (Friudenberg) Michalewicz. She married B.B. (Bud) Watkins in 1967 in Chilton and they celebrated over 47 wonderful years together. Mrs. Watkins Graduated from Lott High School and MCC. She retired from VA after 36 years of service, where she worked as a Registered Nurse from age 19 to age 55. Her parents and a brother; Frank Michalewicz preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband; Bud Watkins, children; Dan Scott and wife, Joyce of Kosse, Jo Ann Garrison and husband, Jerry of Chilton and Renee Pace of Lorena, brother; Gene Michalewicz of Temple, grandchildren; James Scott and his wife, Jean, Brad Scott and his wife Ashley, Michael Garrison and his wife, Abby and Shawn Pace, step grandchildren; Chris Garrison and his wife, Amy and their children, Lillian and Sarah, David Garrison and his wife, Elizabeth and their child, Harper and great grandchildren; Violet and Evelyn Garrison.
