John Trotter

John Trotter, 46 of Marlin entered into rest Wednesday January 11, 2012. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Lee Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott. Visitation will be 5pm to 7pm Friday at Adams Funeral Home.

John was born February 9, 1965 in Huntsville, TX to Patrick Henry and Bettye Smith Trotter, Jr. He was a devoted preacher of the Gospel, he loved to travel, and never met a stranger. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Desert Storm and also a tour of duty in Greece. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

John was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Henry Trotter, Jr. in 1989.

Survivors include his mother, Bettye Trotter of Marlin, TX; daughter, Samantha Whitney of Bynum, TX; brother, Stephen Trotter of Tatum, TX; twin sister, Jennifer Trotter of Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Katherine Trotter of Troy, NC; and granddaughter, Grace Lynn Whitney of Bynum, TX.

Pallbearers will be Martin Quiram, David Herral, David Johnson, Steve Trotter, Johnny Sesick, Robert Makey, and Vyrl Brown.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Temple I.S.D. Transportation Employees.
