Leslee Hunter Rose, 35, of Groesbeck, Texas, entered heaven's gates the morning of January 22 2019, passing away at home surrounded by loved ones.

Leslee was a beautiful kind woman who was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. She was an amazing wife, mom, sister, daughter, granddaughter, aunt, and truly one of a kind.

Leslee's story starts on November 18, 1983. The middle daughter to Bruce Hunter and Dana Richardson, she was born in Waco, Texas and lived in Marlin, Texas. While she was still little Bruce and Dana moved their family to Austin where Leslee would spend her childhood, grow up, attend school, then eventually move back to the Marlin area in 1998. That's where she met her best friend, her true love, her soul mate, Mike Rose. They were United in marriage on February 22, 2008

Leslee loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved the beach and country music. She loved to read and was often lost in a good book. She was an amazing cook and one of the very best. Weekend get togethers with family were a regular thing at her house. She always had something delicious on the stove or in the oven.

Once diagnosed with cervical cancer, 4 years ago, Leslee never gave up hope. She never complained, maintaining a brave and cheerful outlook of an optimistic future, even through countless radiation and chemo therapy treatments, hospitalizations, and pain. She continued to raise her children and be involved in their lives through their daily needs and dramas as they got older and as a wife to her husband, assuring her family she was going to fight and be here for many years to come. Anyone who knew her loved her and said she was the bravest strongest woman they ever met.

Leslee was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Willie Maude Moore; paternal grandfather, Tommy Moore; mother, Dana Richardson; father, Bruce Hunter; maternal grandfather, Billy John Richardson; and uncle, David Richardson.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Rose; children, Kiara and fiancé, Cody, Ashton, Kelsie, Sydney, Kari, Michael, Sean, and Camryn; two sisters, Ashley Hunter and fiancé, Fred Dunn, of Marlin, Kristan Leipply and husband, Dustin, of Ohio; sisters in law, Kathi Sanders and husband, Walter, of Brazoria, Debbie Mikolajewski and husband, Benny, of Bremond, Laura Rose of Brazoria; brothers in law, James Rose and wife, Andrea, of Iowa, Cleven Rose and wife, Nicole, of North Carolina; maternal grandmother, Sue Richardson of Reagan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

My mother was the most amazing woman I have ever met in my entire life, she was also the strongest. She was so beautiful and kind and she was always there when you needed her. She will be missed I’m sure it that.

Leslie was one of the sweetest, most kind hearted people that I ever met. She loved her children with all of her heart. I was not part of her family by blood but she always treated me like I was. I never saw her that she did not hug my neck and wanted to know how I was doing. I will miss that. She loved her family more than herself. She had been through a lot in her life but she always somehow overcame the difficult things and kept going forward. I do believe that God has a special place for her in Heaven because she was truly special.

Dear brave, sweet Leslee,
I'm so sorry you've suffered so. But, nobody would know with that exceptional smile and silent strength only you had. I'll miss you.
To her children: I know right now is rough, but it'll get easier. Never better, just easier. Time doesn't heal, just helps you deal.
If you need me, let me know...
