Linda Sue Vanek

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Reverend Kurt Rutz officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022 at the cemetery.

Linda was born on July 23, 1959 to Edgar Walter and Ella Mae (Pankonien) Neumann in Marlin, Texas. Linda was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Marlin. She was baptized on August 23 1959 at Grace Lutheran. She was confirmed at Grace on April 15, 1973. Linda was a longtime resident of Riesel. She graduated from Marlin High School in 1977. Linda worked as an Office Manager for several years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Most of all, spending time with all of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Walter Neumann, sister, Cynthia Mae Dees.

Survivors include her mother, Ella Mae Neumann of Riesel, sons, Heath Vanek and wife, Andrea of Riesel, and Adam Vanek and Krystal of Riesel; grandchildren: Austin Vanek, Elijah Vanek, Laney Vanek, and Augustus Vanek, Makaley Shoults; brother-in-law, John Dees of Marlin, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
