

Linda Kay Westerman was born August 26, 1944, in Hill County, Texas. She passed away on November 7, 2025 in Marlin, Texas. Linda graduated in 1962 from Humble High School in Humble, Texas. She was the church pianist for First Assembly of God Church in Humble where her father was the pastor. She was a 35-year resident of Marlin and worked as the bookkeeper for Adams Funeral Home for several years. Prior to working at Adams, she worked at Connally Compton Funeral Directors in Waco and Baylor Scott and White in Temple.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, Tx on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 from 9:00-10:30 followed by a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Augusta Kay and Gilbert Lee Johnson and her brother Sidney Dean Johnson. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Debbie Johnson, of Glen Rose, Texas. Her niece Kim Romero and husband Juan of Tampa, Fl., Marsha Shields and husband Joel of Waco, Texas and Melissa Koehne of San Antonio, Tx., great niece Anabeth Shields of Rogers, Arkansas, great nephew Caleb Shields of Waco, Tx and great nephew Carson Koehne of San Antonio, Tx, and numerous relatives of the Downes family of Marlin, Tx
The family would like to thank Cindy at First National Bank of Hughes Springs in Marlin for helping Linda with her banking, the members of First Baptist Church of Marlin for their generous donation and support when her house burned, and Jim Cathey for his many visits and prayers. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Golden Years Nursing Home and Alamo Hospice for the loving care they provided Linda.
