Lou Nell (Underwood) Nutt

Lou Nell Nutt passed away at her home on October 27, 2021. Funeral services will be 3 pm Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Alan Six officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the funeral home.

She was born on November 21, 1935 in Davilla, TX to Bertha Mae and Charles Walter Underwood. On October 31, 1953, she married the love of her life, Billy J. Nutt who preceded her in death in 2015. She retired from John Lynn after 15 years of service. She loved to sew, crochet, and plant flowers. She also loved playing volleyball and had many trophies to prove her love for the sport. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren was her favorite thing to do. She was a life time member of the Trinity Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 61 years, daughter Peggy Nehring, grandson D.J. Nutt, siblings, Wilma Freman, Patsy Landy, Linda, Gloria, John Underwood, and Charles Underwood.

Survivors include son, David Nutt Sr. and wife Susie; son-in-law Edd Nehring III: brother, Billy Underwood: grandchildren Sherrie Body and husband Jimmy, Edd "Man" Nehring IV, and James "Pete" Nehring and wife Kayci, great grandchildren Tyler Body, Kenzie York and husband Devin, Kaylin Powers and husband Trevor, Karsyn, Kynnedi and Korbyn Nutt, Tanner, Travis, & Tayson Nehring, great-great grandchildren, Aesyn Keener, Axtyn Nutt, Audrina, Karlee & Baby Powers, Angel Body and several other realtives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers include; Edd Nehring, Rocky Mortimer, Jimmy Body, Tyler Body, Korbyn Nutt and Randy Lamb, honorary pallbearers are; Pete Nehring, Tanner Nehring, Travis Nehring, Tayson Nehring Aesyn Keener, Axtyn Nutt, Devin York and Trevor Powers.
