Martha Ann Jobe Nowaski, 75, of Marlin passed away peacefully on September 24, 2022 at Mercy House in Waco, Texas. Martha was born on April 23, 1947 in Vernon, TX to J.C. and Betty Jobe. She was the oldest of six siblings and the only girl of the Jobe kids. Martha graduated from Marlin High School in 1966. Martha was married to the late Robert Nutt and later to Timothy Nowaski. She worked for many years at the Marlin HEB, in Marlin school cafeterias and ran several businesses with Robert including a laundry mat and Nutt Grocery. Later in life, Martha over saw the Marlin Senior Civic Center, hosting many Jamboree's and daily activities for the senior community of Marlin. Martha took pride in helping care for her younger siblings and in caring for many of her nieces and nephews throughout the years. Martha had a very special 70 year friendship with Nora Hogg, being best friends since Nora was born 5 years after her. They rarely did anything without each other and she was the sister she never had. Martha immensely enjoyed reading, gardening, karaoke and of course trips to the casino. Martha was the kindest of souls and always put others before herself. Her legacy will always be remembered as how great of a mother to many she was.
Martha is survived by daughter Sherry Lehrmann and grand-daughter Whitney Lehrmann, daughter Megan Nutt, her partner Brandon and grandson Hayden Griffin. Along with her two girls, she proudly was a mom to Robert's children Bradley Nutt, Brian Nutt and Tammy Romo and Tim's children Nedra Nowaski, Dedra Favors and Sharla Nowaski, all of which she saw as her own. She is also survived by 11 more beautiful grandchildren and 1 great-grandson along with her brothers Sammy Jobe and wife Charlotte, Curtis Jobe and Linda Minor, Richard Jobe and wife Linda, and David Jobe and wife Linda, sister-in-law Trina Jobe, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and special niece Taylor Ensminger.
She is preceded in death by her parents J.C. and Betty, late husband Robert Nutt, brother Terry Jobe and nephews James "Jimbo" Jobe and Lee Jobe.
Visitation with family will be at Adam's Funeral Home in Marlin on September 30, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral procession from Adam's will begin on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. with graveside services beginning at 10 a.m at Taylor's Chapel Cemetery in Marlin.
Pallbearers will be Hayden Griffin, Brandon Smiley, Michael Minor, Dustin Jobe, Colton Ensminger and Seth Grigg.
