Mary Louise Reichardt Jeske McNair Dunn, 88, surrounded by her family left this world and fell into the arms of Jesus on June 13, 2021. Visitation will be Wednesday June 16, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, Texas. Graveside services with be Thursday June 17, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Riesel Cemetery with Greg Morris officiating.
Mary was born in Corsicana, Texas on October 12, 1932, to Charlie and Freida Tieman Reichardt. Mary attended Riesel school and graduated early at the age of 16 in 1949. She was involved in the school’s volleyball program who won the State Championship in 1947. After graduation she cared for her children Charles, Sharon, and Tami. She worked for the 7 up bottling company for many years and later retired from Dealer’s Electric. She was a lifelong member of Friedens Church in Riesel and served on the church council as well as the Riesel City Council. Mary was a lively spitfire who enjoyed dancing, playing dominoes, baking, and had a special way of telling others what to do.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Charles Jeske, her grandson Eric Lawrence James, her husband’s John Ray McNair, and Johnnie Dunn.
Survivors include her daughters Sharon McCarver, Tami Nehring and husband, Steve, granddaughters Jennifer Kluck and husband, Kevin, Chelsea Kemp and husband, Chris, Misty McCarver-Moore and husband, Michael, and Ashley Nehring, grandsons Douglas Jeske and wife, Janet, Scott Jeske and wife, Karen, Karl McCarver and wife, Riki, and Stephen Nehring. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandson along with multiple bonus children and grandchildren, and her very special friend Gerald Ainsworth who she loved dearly.
Mary was an amazing mother, grandmother, and caretaker. She cared for many of her family members and their children, she loved them through their best and worst times, and she instilled in them a hard work ethic coupled with independence. Mrs. Dunn was known for making the best dewberry or peach cobblers, cinnamon rolls, volunteering at the local Kiwanas club, playing dominoes and hosting many tournaments locally. She had won over 21 tournaments in the recent years alone.
Pallbearers are Kevin Kluck, Scott Jeske, Lane Kluck, Chris Kemp, Michael Moore, and Karl McCarver. The family would also like to send a special “Thank you for everything” to honorary pallbearers Douglas Jeske, Randy Ehlers, Jerry Brooks, and the congregation of Friedens Church and Meier Settlement UMC.
