Mary Hope Velasques, 71, of Marlin, passed away August 20, 2025. She was born on April 7, 1954 in Marlin, Texas to Dan and Concha Rincon. She battled cancer and other serious medical issues in the last month of her life and showed great courage and faith in facing life's challenges. Mary stayed strong until the end, with her loved ones by her bedside.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Timothy Ann Valesques and husband, Drew Black and Arminda Velasques and husband, Christian Constantino, Sr. (Eddie), one son, Antonio Velasques, Jr. (Tito), eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister, Lucy Garcia and lots of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM, Friday, August 29, 2025 at Adams Funeral with Pastor Joel Davila, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the funeral home.
