Nina Eolean Carnes

Nina Eolean Carnes, 93 of Grand Saline, formerly of Chilton, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Chilton, Texas. Burial will follow in the Chilton Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Chilton.

Nina was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Chilton where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the WMU. She loved to garden and work in her yard. Nina will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nina was preceded in death by her husband Secrell D. Carnes, two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her daughter, Nina Montgomery and husband Bill of Grand Saline; son, Secrell (Butch) Carnes and wife Rosie of Chandler; grandsons, Robert Carnes and wife Tammy; great grandsons, Chase and Blake Carnes; sister, Joyce Crosby; sister-in-law, Audrey Carnes; numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends also survive.
