Maragaret Ann (Peggi) Kenny, age 86, passed away on October 28, 2025, in Marlin, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 PM on November 1 at St. John’s Episcopal Church with a reception to follow.
Peggi was born on November 16, 1938, in Marlin, Texas to Tom and Maurine Gallaher. She graduated from Marlin High School and then Trinity University in 1960. She married Harry Kenny in 1960 and they made their home in Marlin. She was involved in community and church activities with memberships in the Wednesday Matinee Musical Club, Literary Club, Not-so-Great Books Club and Sunday Night Leftovers Club.
She loved bridge and was a Life Master playing in the Waco, Temple and Marlin clubs. She was a talented pianist and organist for her church. She also played in the Saints band where she performed for other community programs. She served as an elder at the First Presbyterian Church and was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Peggi is preceded in death by her parents as well as her sister Judy. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Harry Kenny, children David Kenny (wife Tara) of Marlin, Chris Kenny (wife Mary Jo) of Coldspring and John Kenny (wife Kara) of Austin, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
