Peggy W. Hollingsworth

Peggy W. Hollingsworth, 74, of Lewisville, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 in Carrollton, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, Texas with the Reverend Lester Adams and the Reverend Jim Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, May 25th at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hollingsworth was born on September 4, 1940 in Marlin, Texas to Wilmer and Mildred (Mitchell) Wiggleton. She loved yard work especially planting flowers. She also enjoyed decorating her home, entertaining her family and friends, and visiting the beach. Peggy was very civic minded and volunteered with several organizations. She retired from Dillard’s after 12 years of service and she received the Pace Setter award every year. Mrs. Hollingsworth attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and Concord Baptist Church when she was able. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Bobbye LaNelle Brink and Wanda Fern Wiggleton, and the father of her children David M. Sudbury.

Survivors include her daughter Cindy Baber of Carrollton and son David Russell Sudbury; grandchildren Steven Sudbury, Ashley Branch and her husband, Eric, Joshua Baber and Austin Baber; great-grandchildren Ethan Branch, Lucas Branch and expected grandson William Branch; sisters-in-law Wanda Sudbury, Randa Ibsen and Mary Howard; nieces and nephews Cheryl Bridger and her husband, Larry, Donna Hollingsworth and her husband, Rex, Sr., Laura Banta and her husband, Paul and Chris Howard; great-nieces and great-nephews Rex Hollingsworth, Jr. and his wife, Nina, Alicia Smith and her husband, Patrick, Raven Hollingsworth and his wife, Jessica, Amber McNair, John McNair and his wife, Andi, Justin McNair and his wife, April, Claire Banta and Jacob Howard; and great-great nieces and great-great nephews, Joshua, Jarred, M′Keala, Cory, Eli, Katy, Tristen, Miles, Nathan, Noah, Jaylan, Jaydah and Rain and numerous cousins and dear friends.
