

Rodney was born on December 21, 1951, in Marlin to Clifford “Buddy” and Nellie Krumnow. A proud graduate of Marlin High School, Class of 1970, he went on to build a respected life rooted in faith, family, and community. In 1975 he married the love of his life, Virginia Havis, and together they shared 49 devoted years of marriage.
Rodney was the owner of Pro Irrigation, a business he founded in 2000. He held multiple professional licenses including Licensed Irrigator (LI0007488), a designation he was particularly proud of due to his early number, as well as Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester. He was a Certified Professional Turf Manager and a past member of the Texas Turfgrass Association, where he also served on the Board of Directors.
A man of deep faith, Rodney served for many years as a deacon at First Assembly of God in Marlin and was later a member of New Life Tabernacle Church. He was passionately involved in Royal Rangers, where he served in leadership for 27 years and was a committed member of the Frontiersman Camping Fellowship where he was known as "Grizzly".
Rodney never met a stranger. He was a fun-loving family man known for his captivating stories, infectious laughter. and expertly told jokes. He had a big heart, a generous spirit, and a genuine compassion for people that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Krumnow; his sons, Jody Krumnow and wife Amanda, and John Mark Krumnow and wife Ashley; and his grandchildren, Kyle, James, William Clifford Levi, Ava, Tristian, and Cameron. He is also survived by his mother Nellie Krumnow, sisters Debbie Krumnow and Sharon Minks; and his brother, Timothy Krumnow.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at I :00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 129 Coleman Street, Marlin, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Aaron Haveron officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery on FM 147.
Donations may be made in Rodney's memory to New Life Tabernacle Church in Marlin, Texas.
Pallbearers include Kyle Krumnow, James Krumnow, Jesse James, Steve Havis, Jeff Havis and Andrew Budzisz.
Rodney's legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
