To Gene Janes & family members - I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I first met Ronnie in 1954 when we both started 1st grade at Rosebud Elementary.
We became great friends over the next 10 years until my parents & I moved away. Ronnie was very bright, had a wonderful sense of humor & it was fun hanging out with him. We both enjoyed being in band & going on loud bus trips to out of town football games. Unfortunately, after leaving Rosebud in 1964, I only saw Ronnie a couple of times, but I’ve thought of him fondly over the years & wondered how he was doing. I’m happy to hear what a full & satisfying life he must have had. When I think of him now, he’ll be busy working in a big garden full of lush green plants & bright beautiful flowers & he’ll be happy as a lark.
