Sharon Joy Thomas

Sharon Joy Thomas, 83, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Mexia , Texas. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, Texas. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sharon was born on July 29. 1942 to Malcolm and Lillian Estelle (Fulton) Roberts in Frankel, Texas. She married the love of her life, Ted W. Thomas, on January 17, 1958, in Big Spring, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Falls County. Sharon graduated from San Angelo State University in May 1972 with a Master's degree. She enjoyed painting, pottery, sewing, gardening and most of all, spending time with her family and all of her grandchildren.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Reba Roberts, brothers, Bill Roberts, Joe Roberts, and Jim Bob Roberts.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Ted W. Thomas of Riesel; sons, Danny Thomas and wife, Alison of Clyde, TX, Earl Thomas and wife, Carrie of Teague, TX, and daughter, Lana Thomas of Riesel, TX; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews; brothers, Malcolm Roberts and Larry Roberts, sister, Selma Sedgwick.

Pallbearers: Lance Thomas, Bryan Thomas, Layne Thomas, Kashius Keyes, Keith Brockman, Trey Brockman, Kaden Brockman, and Kyler Brockman.
