

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021, 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, TX. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin.
Harold was born on December 21, 1936 in Rosebud, TX to Virgil and Velma (Burgess) Davenport. He graduated from Rosebud High School in 1955 and graduated from the University of Corpus Christi, (Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi) in 1961.
While attending college he met the love of his life, Myrna Lucile Morgan, at church. They were married on December 18, 1959.
Following Harold’s graduation in 1961 they moved to Marlin, TX and Harold began a lifelong career with W.M. Parrish & Company aka Parrish, Moody & Fikes P.C. He retired in 2005 and missed his many clients of which he was greatly dedicated.
Harold was devoted to and cherished each family member. He loved all animals and was Paw Paw to all children. He also loved everything that Mee Maw loved.
Harold was preceded death by his wife, Myrna Lucile, in January 2020; his parents Virgil and Velma Davenport; his in-laws, Samuel and Elizabeth (Gower) Morgan and his brother Durwood Davenport.
Harold is survived by the following: daughters Sherri Tomchesson of Waco, and Lisa Jeffrey of China Spring TX. ; son, Gary Davenport and wife Sharon of Bremond, TX; grandchildren; Phillip Davenport of Aledo, Clinton Davenport and wife Nicole of Bremond, Lauren Tomchesson of Waco, Jackson and Jacie Jeffrey of China Spring. Great grandsons, Brayden and Layne Davenport of Bremond, Brooks, Barrett and Briggs Davenport of Aledo. Additional survivors are brother in law Joe Morgan and wife Christy and niece Samantha Morgan all of Corpus Christi and sister in law Betty Davenport of Waco.
