

Agnes Lasandra Marcainte of Port Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the age of 56. She was born to Alward Wilson, Sr. and the late Audrey Wilson. Agnes was married to the late Czar Marcainte for 21 years. Devoted mother of Jeremy Sylve (Kayla), Cassie Tinson (Trent Jr.), Tyler Sylve, Jardin Dugan (Chase), Bobby Barthelemy (Jasmine), Alexandra Marcainte (Isiah), Jackie Marcainte (Wes), and Courtney Marcainte. Loving Maw Maw of Natalia Sylve, Kobe Bavaret, Khloe Sylve, Kyler Sylve, Trent Tinson III, Zoey Tinson, Jace Marcainte, Jayda LaFrance, Layden Sylve, Luca Dugan, Graclyn Barthelemy, Asher Barthelemy, and Joy Walls. Sister of Lucinda Ragas (Gene), Alward Wilson, Jr. (Amy), Jonathan Wilson, Sr. (Idget), Paula Wilson, the late Esther Wilson, and Blondie Juneau (Randal, Sr.). Sister In Law of Tammy Duplessis (Freddie). Godmother of Haley Ragas, Kevin Fitte, and Journell Trahan. Goddaughter of Pauline Alice Sylve and the late Edgar "Anthony" Barthelemy. Aunt of Jessica Landry (Rogers), Crystal Davis, James Wilson (Jessica), John Wilson, Dakota Billiot (David), Alexis Morris, Grace Campbell, Madeleine Campbell, Alyssa Williamson (Jeremy), Sean Wilson (Haley), Jonathan Wilson Jr., Derrielle Williamson, Janna Greene, Belle Greene, Randal Juneau, Jr., and Bladen Juneau. Niece of Eva Ruth Phillips, Pauline Alice Sylve, Amanda Barthelemy, and the late Chimas Sylve, Sr., Anthony Barthelemy, Morris Bartholomew, Jack Trahan, Mabel Trahan, Olga Ancar, and Marion Rogers. Agnes is survived by her special friends and family Rev. Danny and Carolyn McVay, Ridge Ancar, Joel Gonzales (Andrea), Donetta Dufrene, Jamie Thompkins, Donna Simmons, Leslie Angeles, Billie Johnson, Keena Alexis, and Kawana LaFrance. Agnes is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Agnes was an employee for the Plaquemines Parish School Board for many years. She was a paraprofessional at Boothville-Venice Elementary School where she worked closely with special needs children. She was also a faithful member of River of Life Ministries and Bible Tabernacle Church. She was a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and cheered on her team on football Sundays. Agnes loved life, enjoyed cruising, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at Bible Tabernacle Church, 1061 Oak Avenue in Bridge City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00AM until the service time. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Following the burial, family and friends are invited to a repast at the home of Cassie Tinson, 201 South Street in Port Sulphur, Louisiana.
