

Alice Virginia Adams, of Marrero, Louisiana passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on October 16, 2024 at the age of 81. Alice was born on January 23, 1943 to the late Joseph and Bessie Hebert in Marrero, Louisiana.
Alice was the loving wife of the late John Anthony Adams Sr. for 64 years. Devoted mother to Danette Bourgeois (Webster), John A. Adams Jr. (Monette), Lyndell Vincent (Bryan), Melissa "Missy" Raiford (Travis). Proud Mawmaw of Emily Chancey (Mike), Adam John Bourgeois, Mikcha Gary, Kristen Vincent, Lauren Gonzales (Hugo), Jessica Marcomb (Jonathan), Ashley Konecny (Nick), and Joshua Raiford (Maggie). Great Grandmother of Thomas, Tucker, Lila Grace, Violet, Jonathan Jr., Joelle, and Sloan Alice. Sister of Joan Bourque (Frank), Joe Hebert Jr. (Debbie), the late Helen Gisclair (Nolan Sr.), Lloyd Konk Hebert (Bonnie), and Robert Hebert Sr. (JoAnn). Alice is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Alice, also known as "Big Al", was a caring, resilient, and passionate woman. She was truly larger than life itself. She was extremely creative, often busying her hands with sewing, quilting and smocking. She was also a member of Rosethorne Ladies Tennis Club for several years. Alice was the major influence for teaching her family to cook. She had quite the sweet tooth, especially for chocolate! She will be fondly remembered for her strong influence to her entire family for years to come.
A Visitation for Ms. Alice will be held on October 21, 2024 at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home beginning at 9:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Alice will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
