Allen D. “Cheese” Wiseman set his nets for his final voyage on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the age of 74. He was a extraordinary shrimper and outdoors man. He designed and built the first steel shrimp boat to work out of Lafitte. He is survived by his beloved companion, his children, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lafitte on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and continue at church from 9:00 AM until Mass time.
