Aloma was sweet-spirited, humble, and soft-spoken. She enjoyed the beauty of simple things: a warm smile, a shared meal with her family, cheering for the Texas Rangers, the tingle of an ice cold Diet Coke, the excitement of a slight chance to win at the casino, and the ‘happily-ever-after’ of a good Hallmark movie.
She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Walter Albarado and fiancé Lisa and Dane Rodriguez; grandchildren, Andrew Albarado and Alexis Albarado; great-grandchild, Sophia Albarado; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Danny Michel; sister-in-law, Sharon Metrejean, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was reunited in heaven with her parents, Duffy Sr. and Virges ‘Rita’ Metrejean, and brother, Duffy Metrejean, Jr.
The family would like to express appreciation to Diane Michel for opening her home to Aloma during her illness and Egan Hospice for the compassionate care provided.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Monday, February 13, 2023 beginning at 9:00 AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero. Funeral Mass will begin at 12:30 PM followed by interment at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale
