Alvina Rita Matherne Rawle, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2013. Daughter of the late Marie Frickey Matherne and Antoine Matherne, Sr. Wife of the late Irvin J. “Butsy” Rawle. Mother of Janice Rawle, Irvin J. “Butch” Rawle, Jr. (Cecile), Frank Rawle (Robin), Greg Rawle (Roxanne), Michael Rawle (Anna), and the late Charles Rawle (Judy) and Gwen Rawle. Sister of five deceased brothers, three deceased sisters, and one surviving sister Emelda Matherne Perrin. Also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Born on February 23, 1922, and a lifelong resident of Lafitte, Louisiana. Her entire life was devoted to her children, her extended family, and her church. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Saint Anthony Catholic Church, Laffite, on Tuesday Morning, February 5, 2013 at 11:00.
