Andrew Perrin Sr.

Andrew "Du" Perrin passed away on February 23, 2022 at the age of 98. He was born on August 28, 1923 in Lafitte, Louisiana to the late Arno and Leonise Pizani Perrin. Beloved husband of the late Theresa Roberts Perrin. Loving father of Andrew Perrin, Jr. and Michael Perrin (Angela). Proud grandfather of Edwin Cortez, Sr. (Ashley), Mykala Perrin, Mariah Schonacher and Julia Schonacher Chason. Great-grandfather of Edwin Cortez, Jr. and Myla Cortez. Brother of the late Thomas Perrin (Anita) and Evelina Springstead. Godfather of Merita Dufrene. Andrew is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Andrew proudly served his country by joining the Army and fought in WWII. He was a commercial fisherman and trapper most of his life. He also retired from Jefferson Parish Parkway Department. Du loved playing Bingo and going to the casino's and coffee shop with his close friend Jose Tarantino but most of all he loved his family, especially his best friend/granddaughter, Mykala. He was a very strong man with a strong heart. Andrew was loved by everyone who was blessed to have known him and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:00AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home and burial will immediately follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
