Anthony Raymond Ballay Parnell

Born July 26, 1959, he spent much of his adult life across the coastal Louisiana and Mississippi regions, including time in Kiln, Mississippi.

He enjoyed fishing, shrimping, hunting, and farming. He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Halferty (Stephen) and Christy Chrisman (Josh); grandchildren, Jaxen, Nolan, and Eli; siblings, Stephen Parnell Jr. (Chanda), Henry Parnell (Lisa), Mary Jeanne Hoover (Rhett), and Suzanne Hanna (Robert); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Parnell; his father, Stephen Parnell Sr.; and brother Benjamin Parnell.

Please join us in prayer and remembrance on Friday, December 12, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a Catholic Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 Fourth Street, Westwego, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Coastal Conservation Association of Louisiana or Mississippi, or to any wildlife conservation organization of your choosing.
