Antoinette Marie Plaisance

Antoinette Ronquille Plaisance (“Aunt Do”) entered into eternal rest at her home on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the age of 100. She was born on October 3, 1921 in Lafouche Parish, LA. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Paul Plaisance. Daughter of the late Octave A. Ronquille and Mary Julia. Loving mother of Larry, Chris, Wayne, and Brian. Mother-in-law of Marcia, Bonnie, Peggy, and Edna. Grandmother “Maw Maw” to Crissy, Kevin, Melanie, April, Amber, Todd, Jessica, Bethany, Daniel, Hannah, Richelle, Brian Jr., and Joshua. Great grandmother “Old Maw Maw” to Julia, Louis, Alex, Claire, Molly, Carter, Tanner, Jacob, Christian, Jace, Quinn, Cameron, Lilah, Michael W., Anna Kate, Evelyn, Eva, Haven, Jolene, Emily, Michael P., Gavin, Dillon, Mason, Priya, Dev, Brody, Caden, and Madison. Survived by her sister Thelma Slade. Preceded in death by her brothers Irby, Alvin, Paul and Norman Ronquille, and her sisters Agnes Rogers and Anna Marcombe. Also survived by her beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and dear friends. Antoinette was a loyal and long time member of the Westwego Assembly of God Church (God’s House). The family would like to express their appreciation to her son Brian and his wife Edna for the exceptional care she received during the last years of her life. Also, special thanks to Heart of Hospice and Nancy Coig who treated her with loving kindness. Antoinette will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM.
