Audrey Ann Wilson passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the age of 75. She was the beloved wife of Alward Wilson Sr. for 58 years. Mother of Lucinda Ragas (Gene), Alward Wilson Jr. (Amy), Agnes Marcainte (Czar), Jonathan Wilson Sr. (Marie), Paula Wilson and the late Esther Wilson, as well as her extended children Blondie Juneau (Randal Sr.), Veronica Hickey Bruno (Steven) & Herman Lightell. Grandmother of Jessica Ragas, Haley Ragas, Crystal Davis, James Wilson, John Wilson, Dakota Wilson, Alexis Morris, Grace Campbell, Madeleine Campbell, Jeremy Sylve, Cassie Sylve, Tyler Sylve, Jardin Dugan, Bobby Barthelemy, Alexandra Marcainte, Jackie Marcainte, Courtney Marcainte, Alyssa Wilson, Sean Wilson, Jonathan Wilson Jr., Everette Whitney, and Derrielle Williamson, as well as her extended grandchildren, Janna Greene, Belle Greene, Randal Juneau Jr., Bladen Juneau and Alayna Bruno. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Bartholomew and Pauline Henry Bartholomew. Sister of Eva Ruth Phillips, Pauline Alice Sylve (the late Chimas), Anthony Edgar Barthelemy (Amanda), and the late Morris Bartholomew. Godmother of Carl Ancar, Tara Duplessis, and Kristine Henry. She is also survived by a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A native and lifelong resident of Port Sulphur, she was a founding member of River of Life Ministries. She was a devoted wife and mother who leaves a legacy of her investment in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, fellow church members and anyone else who came into her sphere of influence. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone. She will be remembered for her incredible strength of character, that was unrivaled.
A Funeral Service will be held at River of Life Ministries in Port Sulphur on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM, officiated by Rev. Elroy Mackey and Jessica Mackey and Pastor Roy Mareno and Holly Mareno. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:00 AM.
