He was born to the late August "Gus" E. Despaux, Sr. and Esther "Muut" Basse Despaux. Devoted father of Kim Guidry (Chris), the late Debra Tassin (the late Jimmy), Rhonda Boudreaux (Brad), and Toni Ronquille. Proud Grandpa of Nicole (Louis), Malcolm III (Mallory), Derrek, Tyler (Jade), Tanna (Rhett), Kristen (Dylan), and Hailie (Cole). Great Grandpa of Kaydence, Madilynn, Margot, Malcolm IV, Layla, Brodey, Helena, Jemma, Ryland, and Averlie. Brother of Vivian Muscarello White (the late Anthony Muscarello, Sr. and the late James White). Uncle of Vivian Ann Ragas (Arnold), Anthony "Tony" Muscarello, Jr. (Cheryl), the late Lynn Duncan, Robyn Muscarello, Dawn Matherne (DeeDee), Desiree Cambre (Alfred), Doreen Coulon (Troy), Joseph "Lil Joe" LaFrance, Terrence "Jay" LaFrance (Cindy), Glenda Cheramie (Sergio), Tracy Duhon (Troy), Glenn Cheramie, Jr. (Debbie), and the late Michael "Lil Mike" Matherne, Jr. Brother In Law of Edward "Ed" Cheramie, Jr. (the late JoAnn), Marilyn "Mal" LaFrance (Joe), Glenn Cheramie (Gaile), and the late Gwendolyn "Gwen" Matherne (the late Michael "Mike").
