Barbara Mae Bourgeois

Barbara Baudry Bourgeois, 87, of Porter, Texas, entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2025 at home. She was born on December 4, 1937 in Convent, Louisiana to the late Chester Baudry and Delphine Ockman Baudry. Beloved wife of the late Joseph D. Bourgeois, Sr., loving mother of Joseph D. Bourgeois, Jr. (Kathy Perez Bourgeois) and Lisa Bourgeois Rasco (Tim Rasco), grandmother of Dustin Joseph Bourgeois (Kelly Rolland Bourgeois), Shelbey Rasco Cherry (Ryan Cherry) and Andrew Rasco (Gabrielle Bellelo), and great grandmother of Dustin Joseph Bourgeois, Jr., Ryan LeeAnn Cherry and Isaac Leo Cherry. Barbara is also survived by a host of many other family and friends.

Barbara spent most of her life as a resident of Marrero, Louisiana before moving to Texas in 2006 with her daughter and family.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 9:00AM until 11:00 AM at Westside/Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00AM and interment will immediately follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave. Gretna, LA 70056.
