She was married to the late Donald Chiasson, Sr. for 46 years.
She is the beloved mother of Donald Chiasson, Jr. (Denise), Rodney Chiasson (Rachael), Robin Belaire (Mike), Roxanne Abadie (Carl) and Brian Chiasson (Shannon). Loving sister to Paul Babineaux. Loving grandmother of Heidi, Michael, Donald, III, Mandy, Ashleigh, Amber, Cody, Krystal, Corey, Kayla, Lacey, Zack, Chelsi, Joshua, Austin, Jacob, Stephanie and Casey. She is the beloved great-grandmother to 27 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Chiasson, Sr., her parents Paul Demoville Babineaux and Alexina Rose Broussard Babineaux. Her siblings Geraldine Gros, Parel Bowden, Shirley Angelo, Mary Barry, Lorena Tarrence, Milton Babineaux, Chester Babineaux, Clayton Babineaux, Moise Lavergne and Harold Lavergne.
Beatrice was a devoted Christian whose faith was the foundation of her life. She was a longtime member of Marrero Assembly of God Church where she took pride in singing with the choir and being a mentor in the missionettes. She later became a cherished member of Harvest Time Fellowship Church. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she loved and cared for others. Though Bea may no longer be with us physically, her love, laughter, infectious smile and memories will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Rest peacefully Bea, you will be deeply loved, forever missed and never forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana 70072, on August 24, 2026 beginning at 8:30 am, followed by a chapel service at 12:30 pm.
A Committal Service will be held on August 24 2026 at Restlawn Cemetery, 3540 US Highway 90, Avondale, LA 70094.
