OBITUARY
Betty Guidry
December 18, 1929 – March 30, 2021
Betty R. Guidry, 91, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 at 4:45pm. Betty was blessed with a large loving family that she treasured and embraced every moment with them. Her unfailing faith in God guided her life and impacted others by spreading his love. Betty was a social butterfly, she knew no stranger, and knew no boundaries. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 16 years, Clarence A. Guidry, her parents George and Kathleen, her sisters Audrey Maronge, June Ricks, and her brother William "Billy" Ricks. Betty was devoted to her four children Kathleen Sturgeon (Tim), Arthur "Artie" Maurel (Dette), Karen Rogers (Johnny), Kerry Fox (Bob), and the late John "Rushee" Harris (Peggy). Betty is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, nieces Dawn and Jessica, and a host of nieces and cousins. The family would like to give a special recognition to Dr. Charles Simonson, nurses, Shelley, Kathy, and Rhea and the care team of Heart of Hospice for their compassion during this difficult time. The family would also like to express their gratitude to Omni Home Health nurses Lin, Shaun, Pablo, and Sonia for their care of Betty during her time of sickness.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service in Betty's honor on Monday, April 5th, 2021 at 7:00pm at WestPoint Church, 664 Behrman Highway (corner of Carol Sue and Behrman) in Gretna, Louisiana. All are invited to greet the family and share memories and condolences beginning at 6:00PM.

Kerry, Karen, & the Guidry family, Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss. Ms. Betty Guidry was a
patient of ours for many years. We will miss seeing her sweet
smile & great since of humor. Her 90th birthday party was a wonderful event surrounded by love, family, & friends.
