

Beverly Taylor Nicholas went to be with the lord on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the age of 70. She was the beloved wife of the late Pierre Hilton Nicholas for 41 years and the loving mother of Victoria Nicholas Henderson (Raymond), Christopher Pierre Nicholas, Gina Nicholas Ruttley, and the late Sylvia Nicholas Savoie. She was the devoted grandmother of James Savoie, Jr., Crystal Smith, Patricia Smith Pichon, Victoria Kendrick, Cade Ruttley, Nathan Blum Nicholas, and Kenneth Benoit, Jr. Also the great-grandmother of 8. She was the daughter of the late Earl C. Taylor and Laura Carmardelle Taylor. Sister of Earl C. Taylor, Jr., Frank Taylor, and Mark Taylor. Preceded in death by her siblings, William Taylor, Joanie Taylor Edwards, Cathy Taylor Parta, and Roy Taylor. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beverly was an employee of the Jefferson Parish Public School System for 30 years, and also worked at Tastee Donuts and Azalea Bingo Hall for many years. She was a former resident of Marrero for over 35 years before moving to Lumberton, Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church, 3500 Ames Boulevard, Marrero, on Friday Morning, February 22, 2013 at 11:00. Visitation will be held on Thursday Evening from 6:00 until 9:00 at Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, and resuming Friday morning at church from 9:30 until service time.
