Billy Don Rumfield, Sr. passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday Afternoon, March 4, 2014. He was 79 years old. Former husband of Barbara Trahan. Father of Karen Parks, Lola Kruse, and the late Billy Rumfield, Jr. and Elizabeth Rumfield. Grandfather of 13, great- grandfather of 20, and great-great grandfather of 1. Brother of Ray Rumfield (Barbara). Son of the late George and Muriel Evatt Rumfield. Billy was a native of Azle, Texas and resident of Chauvin for the past 13 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and later worked for Delta Beverage Company, which later became Pepsi-Cola. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services from Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Monday Morning, March 10, 2014 at 11:00. Visitation will be held on Sunday Evening from 5:00 until 8:00, and resuming Monday Morning from 8:00 until the service. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Westwego.
