Brad Eli Close

Brad Eli Close, age 51, of Buras, Louisiana passed away peacefully at home with loved ones on Thursday, February 1, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Whitney Close. Beloved father of Eli Close and Aubree May Close. Loving brother of Wayne Close (Cathy), Gene Close, Rob Close (Lynn), Donelle Wolfe (Scott) and Lorne Close (Tina). Preceded in death by his parents Timothy Close and Deanna Dormagen and his niece Melissa Close Farmer. Brad is also survived by many aunts, nieces, nephews and an uncle.

In Brad's spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a love for grilling and cooking and he was known as "The Grill Master." Brad was a grill sensation as he would dance and sing while he would make the grill magic. Brad also loved duck hunting, fishing and bringing family and friends together. His true joy was being a loving father and an amazing husband.

Brad worked for Kiewit Corporation for 14 years as a Quality Control Inspector. Brad was very outgoing and made a lot of friends throughout his career.

The Close family would like to thank the employees at Heart of Hospice for their everlasting care and comfort. The family would also like to thank everyone who supported them through Brad's battle with cancer.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation that will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 starting at 9:30 AM. A service will be held at 11:00 AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072.
