Brenda Joyce Savoie

She was the beloved wife of the late James L. Savoie; mother of Sophia Savoie Adams and Dawn Savoie Spahr, as well as mother-in-law of Kevin Joseph Adams and William F. Spahr III; grandmother of Kevin James Adams (Mary), Stephanie Ann Adams Whittymore (Gary), James Howell Spahr (Meghan), and Samantha Lynn Spahr (Justin Aubert); great grandmother of Laila Grace Adams, David Earl Watkins III, Bradley Whittymore, Christian Whittymore, Ira Aubert, Remi Aubert, and Rex Spahr; daughter of the late William Boyer and Pearl Dufrene Boyer; and sister of Susan Boyer Randazzo (Joe), Barbara Boyer Jones, and the late Donna Jane Boyer Grabert (the late Russell). She was also beloved by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She enjoyed doing crafts, cooking, sewing, and caring for her family. Her family will particularly miss her wonderful food, particularly her crawfish bisque and stuffed shrimp. Brenda enjoyed the movies, travel, and eating out with her family. She had a zest for life, and that manifested itself in many ways. She was an educator and loved to see those around her learn and succeed in life.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM.
