

Carina Aparicio will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, infectious sense of humor, and the boundless love she had for her family. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went and had a way of making those around her feel welcomed and loved. Carina loved to dance and embraced life with passion, strength, and determination. She was fiercely devoted to her family and gave of herself selflessly to those she loved. Her husband, Reynaldo Aparicio, was the love of her life, and together they built a family that became her greatest pride and purpose.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Carina began her career in sales at a young age, working in cosmetics with Estée Lauder in Puerto Rico before building a successful career in New Orleans' hotel industry, where she worked until her retirement. She was known for her warmth, charisma, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. An amazing cook, Carina expressed her love through the meals she prepared, bringing family and friends together around her table. She also found great joy in gardening, nurturing beauty with the same care and dedication she gave to those she loved. Above all else, Carina cherished her family. Her grandchildren were the stars in her eyes and brought her immeasurable pride and joy. Carina was known for her strong will and unwavering determination—once she set her mind on something, there was no changing it. Her loyalty, resilience, and generous heart touched countless lives, and the love she shared will continue to live on through her family and all who knew her.
Carina is survived by her devoted husband, Reynaldo Aparicio; her loving children, Maressa LaPorte (Ronell), Nicole Vallotton (Ryan), and Andres Aparicio; her cherished grandchildren, Gabriel Aparicio, Annabelle Vallotton and Phoebe Bieker; her brother, Jose Galan (Lisa); her brother-in-law, Miguel Lopez; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Krystel Touchard, Greyson Touchard, Danielle Taylor, Caitlin Fremin, and Adrian Galan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josefa Galan and Eugenio Galan, and her sisters, Nadia Galan and Antonia Lopez. Family was the center of Carina's world, and she took immense pride in the lives and accomplishments of those she loved. Her legacy of strength, laughter, devotion, and unconditional love will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072, US, on June 6, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until Mass.
