Carrie Lucy Sanchez

Carrie was the beloved wife of the late Roderic P. Sanchez, Sr. for 50 years.

Carrie was the loving mother of Roderic P. Sanchez, Jr. (Dianne), Patricia A. Sanchez and Christopher M. Sanchez (Wendy). Beloved grandmother of Stephanie Vlosich (Paul), Kevin Sanchez (Kayleigh), Nicholas Murray (Briana), Alexander Murray (Baileigh) and Olivia Sanchez. Carrie has 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Carrie is preceded in death by her husband Roderic P. Sanchez, Sr., her parents Carlo and Rosalie DeSalvo, her siblings, Annie Baldassaro, Laura Blanda, Angelina Blank, Meca Boudreaux, Rosalie (Mary) Broussard, Vincent (Charlie), Joseph, Anthony, Russell, Lucien, Sr., Peter, Sr., John, Salvatore and Frank Desalvo.

Carrie loved going to Boomtown Casino, playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren and also being surrounded by her family. The most enjoyable thing to do was dancing and more importantly with the love of her life, Roderic.

A visitation will be held for Carrie on Saturday, July 11, 2026 beginning at 9:00AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM in the chapel. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Terrytown, Louisiana.
