Catherine May Clement

CLEMENT Catherine May Clement entered peacefully into heaven at her home on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the age of 77. Catherine is preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Torres Clement and father Adley C. Clement. Catherine is survived by her brother, Gerril J. Clement (Maggie), her niece, Stephanie Creppel Loerwald (partner Keenon LeBlanc) and her nephew in law the late Kenneth E. Loerwald. Aunt of Jason Loerwald(Rachelle), Jared Loerwald (Megan), Jonathan Jeanice (girlfriend Jessica Williams) and also survived by her great nieces and nephews who called her "Maw Maw Catherine", Kelsey Loerwald, Kayle Loerwald, Jace Loerwald and Rhett Loerwald. God Mother of Katherine LeBlanc Sweeney. She is also survived by numerous loving other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Catherine was born on April 6, 1937, in Chackbay, LA and graduated in 1955 from Westwego High School. She retired in 1985 after 30 years of service from American Bell Telephone Co. (AT&T) as a supervisor at South Central Bell. After retirement, she enjoyed and loved her church (Our Lady of Prompt Succor, family, friends and taking care of all her babies….Kelsey, Kayle, Jace, & Rhett. Those babies made her days full and bright just to see their little faces. The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice, West Jefferson Cancer Infusion Center, The Dr. Kesler Group & Staff for their compassionate and loving care given to Catherine during her illness. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
