

Charlene Elizabeth Tate Klumpp of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the age of 65. She was born to the late Robert Lee Tate and Doris Rita Western. Charlene was married to John C. Klumpp III for over 46 years. Devoted mother of Justin Klumpp (Keri Cumbaa) and Jessica Lazzara (Matthew Lazzara). Loving grandmother of Kristiana Miller, Scarlet Rose Lazzara, Sunnie Rae Lazzara, and Ellie James Klumpp. Twin sister of Wayne P. Tate (Cathy) of Mission Viejo, California. Beloved aunt of Dr. Katrina Tate, Karisa Tate, Patrick Tate, and Ryan Tate.
Charlene is preceded in death by her mother Doris Rita Western and father Robert Lee Tate; her grandmother Mary Western, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Charlene was the dedicated Administrative Assistant of the David Crockett Steam Fire Company No.1, where her presence will surely be missed. Charlene was known for her selflessness, humility, and willingness to always help others. She had a passion for scrapbooking and cherished her role as a Grammie. She will forever be known for her craftiness and her brilliant creativity. Her scrapbooking sisters will miss her crafting, creativity, and friendship.
A full fire department honor will be bestowed to Charlene and a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gretna, Louisiana. Following the Mass, will be a celebration of Charlene's life at the church hall. The funeral home assisting with the arrangements is Westside Funeral Home located in Marrero, LA.
Charlene Klumpp will be remembered for her selflessness, kindness, and dedication to her family, friends, and community. She will be forever loved, grieved, and missed by all who knew her.
