Clarence Short

Clarence Eldridge Short passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the age of 52. He was the beloved husband of Pamela Thibodeaux Short, and son of the late Martin H. Short, Sr. and Flora Gibson Short. He was the father of Willie James Short, Brandon Michael Short, Olga Elizabeth Short, Shantell Marie Thibodeaux, and Theresa Short Wiley, and father-in-law of Scarlett Short, Aaron Wiley, and Willie Robinson, III. He was the brother of Martin H. Short, Jr., Jo Ann Pfaffenberger, Cindy Ruth Short, Kathryn LaBorde, and Tracy Plaisance. Grandfather of Brennan, Beaux , Katelyn, Cameron, and Hope, and was anxiously awaiting the birth of his next grandchild. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends. He was a champion boxer for the Irish Channel Boxing Club winning the Louisiana Junior Olympics, Golden Gloves, Silver Gloves and AAU state championship.

Employees of Kody Marine, Eymard Marine, and Bridge City School are invited to attend the Funeral Service from Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin on Friday from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM, and continue at 8:30 AM on Saturday until the service. Interment will follow at Arcola-Roseland Cemetery in Amite.
