Cletus Martin

Cletus Eldon Martin, 88, a native of Corbin, KY and resident of Luling, LA, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Beloved husband of Minnie Pauline Martin for 66 years. Father of Jerry E. Martin and Deborah M. de Vega (Rafael). Sister of Betty Sue Jackson (Carl) of Andover, MN. Grandfather of April Velez (Edgardo), Felipe de Vega (Jessica), Gerri Ann Miles (Donny) and Guille McCreary (Michael). Great-grandfather of Catherine Locklear; Nathan Velez; Rafael and Javier de Vega; Isabelle, Lucas and Helena Hoge; Tyler Smith; and Jillian Miles. Also survived by nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Chester B. and Emma E. Martin; and his brothers, Glenn, Ray, Edward, James, Bill and Lowell Martin.

Mr. Martin served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 and was a retiree of Union Carbide Corporation. Private services were held at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home followed by interment at Westlawn Memorial Park & Mausoleum. To express condolences, please visit: www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
